Old-fashioned Sally Lunn Muffins
Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup milk
Recipe
- in a medium bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- in a separate bowl cream together the shortening and sugar. stir in beaten egg, and milk.
- add flour mixture alternately with liquid mixture.
- fill greased muffin tins two-thirds of the way full. bake in a preheated 375 degree f(190 degrees c) oven for 30 minutes.
