Ginger Steak Rumaki

Ingredients

- 3/4 lb lean sirloin steaks, round (1/2-inch thick) or 3/4 lb flank steak (1/2-inch thick)
- 1/4 cup light soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon minced onion
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 (10 ounce) can water chestnuts
Recipe
- 1 freeze steak for 30 minutes for easier slicing.
- 2 trim off fat, then slice across grain into about 25 1/8-x-3-inch strips.
- 3 combine soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, onion, sugar, garlic and ginger in a large bowl.
- 4 add steak and stir until coated with sauce.
- 5 marinate at room temperature 30 minutes or in refrigerator overnight, stirring occasionally.
- 6 drain and wrap steak strip around each water chestnut, securing with a toothpick.
- 7 arrange rumaki on baking sheet and broil 3 to 4 minutes or until medium-rare.
- 8 arrange on serving platter and serve immediately.
