Homemade Low-fat Strawberry Yoghurt

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 1/2 cups milk (i use low-fat)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (diabetics may use splenda as a substitute or other sugar substitutes)
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, washed and chopped
  • 2 strawberries, slit lengthwise

Recipe

  • 1 bring milk to a boil in a pot.
  • 2 add sugar.
  • 3 allow it to simmer till it reduces to half its quantity, i.e.
  • 4 it should come down to 1 cup.
  • 5 while this is being done, chop strawberries.
  • 6 process strawberries in a blender until they are pureed.
  • 7 remove the sweetened milk into a medium sized mixing bowl.
  • 8 add strawberry puree.
  • 9 mix well.
  • 10 transfer this strawberry yogurt to serving dishes.
  • 11 cover and refrigerate.
  • 12 serve chilled with a slit strawberry sitting on the rim of the serving bowl.
