Phyllo Fruit & Nut Sheets With Spiced Milk

Ingredients

- 4 sheets phyllo pastry (phyllo)
- 100 g sultanas (3 1/3 oz)
- 1/2 cup walnuts (55 grams - 1 2/3 oz, roughly chopped)
- 1/4 cup almonds (flaked - 30 grams - 1 oz)
- 4 cups skim milk (or no-fat 1 litre - 32 fl oz)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 200°c (400°f - gas 6).
- 2 lay the phyllo sheets out flat in single layers on 2 non-stick baking trays.
- 3 bake for about 15 minutes or until crisp and golden.
- 4 break the sheets into large pieces.
- 5 arrange a layer of cooked phyllo into 4 individual cereal bowls, top with some sultanas, walnuts and almonds, top with more pastry and finish with the remaining sultanas and nuts.
- 6 heat the milk and cinnamon in a saucepan until it just comes to the boil.
- 7 pour the hot milk over the layered fruit and phyllo and serve immediately.
