Floridanative's Cajun Black Beans And Rice

Ingredients
- 3/4 lb grass-fed ground beef
- 1 large onion, fine dice
- 1 medium green bell pepper, fine dice
- 2 -3 stalks celery, fine dice
- 1 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth, as desired)
- 2 (15 ounce) cans organic black beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 cups prepared brown basmati rice
- 1 -2 tablespoon cajun seasoning (i use kittencal's recipe the best creole/cajun seasoning mix)
- sea salt
- black pepper
Recipe
- 1 brown ground beef until no longer pink.
- 2 on medium heat, add onions, peppers and celery to beef, and cook until onion is soft and translucent.
- 3 add chicken broth, black beans and rice.
- 4 stir to mix well and add the cajun seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste.
- 5 simmer on low about 15 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed or cooked off.
- 6 serve with a green salad.
