Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup finely crushed peppermint candy
Recipe
- 1 place egg whites in a mixing bowl and let sit for 1 hour.
- 2 add vanilla and cream of tartar to egg whites.
- 3 beat with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
- 4 add sugar 1 tablespoon at a time.
- 5 beat until stiff peaks form.
- 6 grease a cookie sheet and sert aside.
- 7 gently fold crushed candies into beaten egg whites.
- 8 drop from a rounded teaspoon 1 1/2 inches apart.
- 9 bake at 325 ten minutes.
- 10 cool and then store in airtight container.
