Strawberry Jam

Ingredients
- 750 g strawberries (hulled 1 1/2lb)
- 1 apple (green peeled and grated)
- 2 tablespoons honey (yellow box suggested)
- 1 vanilla bean (halved lengthwise)
- 50 g pectin (jam setting mixture with pectin 1 2/3 oz)
Recipe
- 1 put the strawberries, apple, honey and vanilla bean into a saucepan and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes or until the strawberries are soft.
- 2 add the jam setting mixture and bring to the boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring often to prevent the jam from sticking to the pan.
- 3 bottle the jam in sterilised jars.
