Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala - Weight Watchers

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 4-6 cloves
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh gingerroot
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs (about 8 pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup low fat plain greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients, except yogurt and cilantro, in slow cooker. cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours. stir in yogurt and cilantro.
  • 2 yields about 1 cup chicken with sauce per serving.
