Herbed Basmati Pilaf

Ingredients

- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon instant minced garlic
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 cups chicken broth (fat-free)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Recipe
- 1 heat 2 teaspoons olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- 2 add minced garlic, saute 1 minute.
- 3 add basmati rice, saute 2 minutes.
- 4 stir in the chicken broth, bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
- 5 remove from heat, stir in chopped onions and dried thyme.
