Herbed Basmati Pilaf

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon instant minced garlic
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth (fat-free)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

Recipe

  • 1 heat 2 teaspoons olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • 2 add minced garlic, saute 1 minute.
  • 3 add basmati rice, saute 2 minutes.
  • 4 stir in the chicken broth, bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
  • 5 remove from heat, stir in chopped onions and dried thyme.
