Fried Cornmeal Mush

Total Time: 3 hrs 5 mins Preparation Time: 3 hrs Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 3 1/2 cups water, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups cornmeal
  • cooking spray

Recipe

  • 1 mix 2 1/2 cups water and salt in small pan.
  • 2 mix remaining corn meal and water stirring boiling salted water constantly, pour corn meal mixture into the water.
  • 3 reduce heat and cook five minutes or until mixture is thickened.
  • 4 spray 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray and then pour thickened mush into the pan.
