Lighter Creamy Carrots And Peas

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3/4 lb carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lb green peas, thawed
  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter
  • 1 ounce fat free cream cheese, room temperature, cut up
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 place carrots in a steamer basket over boiling water.
  • 2 cover saucepan and steam 4 minutes.
  • 3 add peas and steam 3-4 minutes or until peas are tender.
  • 4 drain and return vegetables to saucepan.
  • 5 add remaining ingredients and toss.
