Five Spice Lamb (for Sandwiches)

Total Time: 10 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 1/2-3 lbs lamb shoulder
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons five-spice powder

Recipe

  • 1 trim fat from meat and place in 4 quart slow cooker.
  • 2 combine apple juice, soy sauce, hoisin sauce and five-spice powder in small bowl and pour over meat.
  • 3 cover and cook on low 10-12 hours or on high 5 1/2 - 6 hours.
  • 4 remove meat from cooker, reserving juices.
  • 5 remove meat from bone and discard bone.
  • 6 using 2 forks, shred meat.
  • 7 serve on bun/rolls of choice. use juices for dipping (french dip style) if desired.
