Mashed Turnips With Roasted Garlic

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 1/2 lbs turnips, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons milk (optional)
  • 1 bartlett pear
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 4 garlic cloves, roasted and peeled
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon margarine

Recipe

  • 1 steam turnips over boiling water until fork tender, about 15 minutes.
  • 2 drain turnips and place in a food processor or blender along with pear, garlic, and margarine.
  • 3 process until smooth, adding skim milk as needed. season with salt and pepper.
