Peasant Turnip Slaw With Sweet Hot Mustard Dressing

Ingredients
- Servings: 3
- 1/4 head cabbage
- 6 -8 turnips (small to medium)
- 1 carrot
- 1/4 cup finely-sliced celery
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1/2 tablespoon sweet-hot mustard
- 1 pinch celery seed (optional)
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 peel turnips and carrot. shred or julienne cut all the vegetables.
- 2 toss veggies with sugar.
- 3 mix dressing ingredients, whipping with a fork or a whisk until the mustard is dissolved.
- 4 toss dressing with veggies.
- 5 chill at least one hour to blend flavors.
- 6 note: can substitute splenda or preferred artificial sweetener to make this diabetic-friendly.
