Easy, Quick And Tasty Basic Beans (crockpot)

Ingredients
- 2 lbs pinto beans (or black beans)
- 3 tablespoons salt
- 3 garlic cloves, whole but smashed
- 1/2 onion
Recipe
- 1 rinse the beans in a colander.
- 2 pour beans into the crock pot and cover with water. allow the beans to soak a few hours or overnight. note: if you are short on time the beans do not have to be soaked but i think that it helps with the cooking.
- 3 add salt, garlic and onion.
- 4 add any water necessary to fill the crock pot.
- 5 cover and cook on low 8 hours or on high 4-5 hours.
- 6 eat and enjoy.
- 7 will make approx 12 cups of beans (24 1/2 cup servings).
