Five-ingredient Chicken

Ingredients

- 1/4 cup dijon mustard
- 3 tablespoons water
- 2/3 cup maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons rubbed sage or 2 teaspoons ground sage
- 2 teaspoons curry powder
- 6 -8 chicken thighs or 6 -8 chicken drumsticks, skin removed
- salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 425 degrees f. combine the mustard and water. set aside.
- 2 line a 8" x 8" baking dish with foil.
- 3 in a small sauce pan over medium heat, mix together the mustard mixture, maple syrup, sage and curry powder. heat and stir until sage and curry are well blended.
- 4 sprinkle chicken pieces with salt an ground pepper. place in foil lines dish. pour sauce over chicken pieces and turn to coat; snuggle the foil around the chicken so that the chicken pieces are a bit crowded together. i find that 6 thigh fit well in the 8" x 8" dish.
- 5 bake uncovered, and basting every 10-15 minutes for about 40 minutes or til golden brown. the basting is very important to achieve the proper flavor.
