Low Cal Cauliflower Theplas {rotis} For Diabetic People

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 3 tablespoons washed and finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves
  • 1 garlic clove, pounded
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 inch piece fresh ginger, pounded
  • 1/4 cup jawar flour
  • 4 medium sized cauliflower florets
  • 1/2 medium sized onion, finely chopped
  • hot water, as required to knead the dough

Recipe

  • 1 knead all the ingredients together to combine well using hot water as required to combine.
  • 2 pinch off round balls of the dough.
  • 3 dust the board with a little flour.
  • 4 roll out even-sized theplas.
  • 5 cook on either side of a flat-bottomed pan{tava} without adding even a drop of oil until golden brown.
  • 6 serve hot with masala bhindi or any other vegetable of your choice and some raita.
  • 7 enjoy!
